Not many people know that the dachshund is a German dog bred for hunting and famed for being an excellent bloodhound; nature has given it a body that’s more comical than efficient, so the dachshund has had to hone its nose and intelligence to prove its worth. The same can be applied to a small business in Naples which was emerging in challenging times, in the second half of the 1980’s. It too, had to hone its nose and intelligence to establish a foothold on an Italian fashion market that was demanding and competitive.
